Black Wolf Endurance launches in the MatSu Valley

Alaska’s trail running community is entering an exciting new chapter. Black Wolf Endurance, a new trail and ultra running brand founded by Heidi Quinn, is officially taking over the direction and management of trail races previously hosted by AKtive Events.

While the races will transition under the Black Wolf Endurance banner, runners can expect a familiar face at the helm — Race Director Heidi Quinn will continue to lead event operations, ensuring the same high-quality experiences participants have come to love.

In an ongoing show of support for local endurance sports, AKtive Soles will serve as a Title Sponsor for all Black Wolf Endurance events. This collaboration reinforces the company’s commitment to building community and celebrating Alaska’s adventurous spirit.

Black Wolf Endurance will maintain the spirit and community focus that made AKtive Events races a cornerstone of the MatSu running scene. Under the new brand, participants can expect well-organized, environmentally responsible races, expanded storytelling and live event coverage, and continued collaboration with local businesses and volunteers.
